The restaurant Our history
The history of the restaurant La Cucina del Tramonto d’Oro is linked to the one of the Hotel Tramonto d’Oro. A story written by the Esposito’s family and begun in 1952, when the desire to create something that would last over time, encouraged the brothers Donato and Carmelina to open the Tramonto d’Oro bar in Praiano.
From there, the idea of opening the restaurant and the Hotel Tramonto d’Oro years later. Two realities followed today by Donato’s family: Teresa, his wife, and his children, Raffaele, Emilia and Carmela.
Chef Ciro has been in the kitchen for over 20 years, joined by Pasquale with his timeless good humor and Domenico, Donato Esposito’s nephew, who trained at ALMA, the prestigious international school of Italian cuisine.
The gastronomic tradition of Campania region is the main focus in the kitchen of the La Cucina del Tramonto d’Oro restaurant in Praiano. Tradition that in the evening takes on modernity, giving to their guests the opportunity to taste traditional dishes prepared in a modern way.
